Background: SoCha LTD is currently looking for a motivated intern to join our team. The intern will support the Head Office team in research work and assist in project management tasks, pertaining to Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning in the International Development industry.
Scope of Work: Specific duties include:
Assist in identifying and collecting information for business proposals.
Assist with document translation or content editing.
Assist with research work and ongoing projects.
Conduct analysis of the international markets to evaluate infiltration and identify opportunities.
Assist with preparations of team meetings, including drafting agendas, status notes, and minutes as needed.
Respond to requests for information from project and corporate leadership.
Assist with research of economic needs in world’s developing communities.
Utilize company standardized platforms to maintain up-to-date information and communication for colleagues around the world.
Assist in maintaining records in line with management processes.
Multi-tasks and follow-up to ensure service is delivered efficiently, professionally and on time.
Demonstrate diplomacy and collaboration to foster an atmosphere of teamwork, productivity, innovation, and support for diversity.
Other duties as required to support SoCha’s portfolio of work.
Minimum qualifications and experience:
Degree holder in International Business Management or equivalent.
Proficient in Microsoft office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
Proven ability to speak and write English and French.
Demonstrated ability to work with teams, to produce deliverables, adhering to deadlines and short turn-around times.
Excellent writing skills is an asset.
Attention to detail & ability to multi-task.
Solution driven individuals a plus.
Period of Performance: The Intern will be engaged for a period of three to six (3-6) months during weekdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Location: Mapou, Mauritius.
