Global Health Risk and Capacity (GHRC) – Project Director

Background

SoCha is preparing for the Global Health Risk and Capacity (GHRC) mechanism, an upcoming competitive procurement to be issued by USAID’s Bureau for Global Health. GHRC will be a centrally-managed mechanism that supports USAID/Washington operating units (OUs) and receives buy-ins from Missions for PEPFAR and other health programs globally to manage local awards to government and non-government partners, including local organizations. GHRC has three strategic objectives:

SoCha is seeking CVs from interested individuals and will reach out to qualified candidates once USAID releases the upcoming Request for Proposals (RFP).  The following position description is subject to change based on USAID’s final requirements in the RFP.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

The Project Director (PD) will provide overall team management, guidance, direction, and administrative and technical support to the contract. The PD will be responsible for leading the Washington, DC-based core team as well as coordinating with the GHRC Contract Officer’s Representative and Mission-based Activity Managers. Additionally, the PD will be responsible for setting the overall technical direction of the activity and overseeing the quality and completion of GHRC deliverables. The PD’s responsibilities will also include attracting a steady flow of buy-ins from Missions and ensuring overall compliance with the contract.

Note: Travel to developing countries may be required.
