ERPNext Specialist – HQ

Background
SoCha has experienced significant growth in the past 4 years and it has now implemented ERPNext, a robust Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, to support the Finance, HR, and Operations work. Basic Finance, Procurement, and HR modules have been released, with enhancements in these modules, as well as more significant development to come.
SoCha LLC intends to engage a ERPNext Specialist to join our ERPNext development team to support the design and delivery of future features of the ERPNext project as well as maintain the existing system. The ERPNext Specialist will report to the IT Director (ITD) but work closely with the Global Operations Manager (OM) and other module Team Leads to ensure the ERPNext system is designed, maintained, and enhanced to fit SoCha processes. Workload will be identified, coordinated, and prioritized by the OM, in consultation with the module team leads and IT Director.
Scope of Work
The ERPNext Specialist will:
- Develop and implement customized modules and workflows to fit SoCha processes.
- Work with the designated POC/module Team Leads, OM, and ITD to understand the requirements, design, and develop any customizations in addition to supporting through testing, implementation, and maintaining the system.
- Set timelines and ensure developments are achieved within the expected timeframe.
- Provide training to SoCha system leads on use and management of overall system and customized modules.
- Maintain current system (both staging and production) and troubleshoot any bugs/errors.
- Integrate with other systems and APIs to drive automation and streamline internal processes.
- Plan and execute data migration from legacy systems into ERPNext in collaboration with the OM and the ITD.
- Provide IT support for the SoCha network in using the ERPNext system, and respond in line with SoCha IT Escalation timeliness standards.
- Support ITD and OM with writing and maintaining policy sections related to ERPNext.
- Other duties as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT Development or a similar field, or extensive work experience in these areas.
- More than three years (3+) of experience building backend applications using Python.
- More than three years (3+) of experience in design and implementation of ERPnext customized solutions.
- Installed and/or managed at least one (1) ERPnext installation on Frappe Cloud or on a self-hosted cloud instance.
- Familiarity with Monday.com beneficial.
- Knowledge of the technology stack behind Python web apps, including MariaDB, Git, REST APIs, and Web frameworks such as Flask/Django.
- Ability to manage and prioritize development tasks using project management trackers.
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles.
- Ability to think outside the box and produce a solution-focused response to issues that arise.
- Professional proficiency in English both written and spoken.
